The Policy Tracker for Agricultural Carbon Markets is a digital tool developed by the Partnership for Agricultural Carbon (PAC) to map, compare, and analyze public policies related to carbon markets in the agricultural sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This site offers a regional database, updated and validated by experts, that provides insight into the status of regulatory and governance frameworks that enable the integrity and scalability of these markets in the region.
The development of agricultural carbon markets faces significant challenges: incomplete regulatory frameworks, low levels of investment, and political and technical uncertainty. This tracker was created to:
The platform was designed by BIOCARBON in its role as Interim Executive Secretariat of PAC, and funded by the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI). Its development followed a rigorous process:

This tracker is a public good in progress, subject to ongoing review and continuous improvement. We invite all users to share their feedback to strengthen its usefulness and rigor.
All data is protected under usage license. Use of the database requires attribution and authorization for reuse.
